Some locations have service bikes available to AU employees for us during business hours for official purposes. Check with your colleagues whether there are bicycles attached near your workplace and how you can book them.
Guidelines for the use of official vehicles
The Faculty of Arts has eight official vehicles which can be used for official purposes (in Denmark). However, the the use of official cars for e.g. events in connection with the introduction week, shopping for the introduction week, weekend trips and the like are not considered teaching or research activities. Not even if the car is to be used by an AU employee – e.g. a student assistant or student adviser.
What is considered an official purpose?
At Arts' Building Services Division you will find a description of what is considered as an official purpose (DK only) as concerns students' use of vehicles. There will be examples where the purpose lies in a "grey area" – e.g. 'Kasernerevyen' (which has both academic and social purposes). In the case of grey areas, it is up to the department to assess whether the activity can be supported with a company car. This is based on the conditions from SKAT on tax exemption.
